British company Stanley Gibbons, who bought the sale of rare coins and stamps, has earned 41 lakh rupees by selling four such postage stamps, which was a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi.The company says that it is the highest bidder of Indian postage stamps so far.

This firm was founded in 1856 by Edward Stanley. It is the world’s oldest firm to be auctioned on postal stamps. In 1891, it opened its showroom in London. Its roots have spread in Hong Kong and Singapore. The company says that out of 1948 photographs of Gandhi Ji only 13 postal stamps are in progress.

This stamp of 10 rupees was sold to a private collector of Australia. The company says that it is working on its expansion plan, but the final decision will be taken by looking at the availability of resources.
