Former Pakistan cricketer Rameez Raja has questioned the former captain of the Indian cricket team and the wicket-keeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni for being given grade “A” by the Board of Control of Cricket in India. According to Rameez Raja, Dhoni should not be given this contract because he does not play Test Cricket anymore. Rameez Raja has taken years to award Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi to Grade “A” by Pakistan Cricket Control Board. Afridi has also retired from Test cricket.
Rameez Raja said that the BCCI and PCB should take care of the purity of Test cricket. Rameez Raja said that despite Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s retirement, the BCCI has kept him in A grade, while the PCB has kept Shahid Afridi in A grade even after retiring. Rameez Raja also expressed concern about the low interest of people in Test cricket. Rameez Raja suggested that Asian countries should make a new plan to make Test Cricket interesting.
Rameez Raja expressing his concern while expressing his concern said that the oldest format of cricket should not be finished in the face of the smallest format T-20. Raja said that there is a lot of pressure on the cricket teams in Asia but if the right plans are made, then it can be beneficial if the Test Cricket Championship is made. Rameez Raja said that if the cricket boards do not make such plans for Test cricket, they will fail to get the money compared to T20.
Earlier, Ramchandra Guha, member of the Committee of administrator appointed by the Supreme Court, had resigned, after questioning about Dhoni’s acceptance of contract for A grade after retirement. Guha had written in a letter to the committee chief Vinod Rai that the superstars system is applicable in Indian cricket. Guha had written that the superstar system has made Indian cricket a tatter. Guha had written that even after retiring, Dhoni has been a bad member after contracting such contracts.
