Senior NCP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Sunday said that the CBI recently raided the NDTV founder’s house because he raised his voice against the BJP government.

NCP supremo Sharad Pawar’s nephew addressing the meeting of the NCP workers said, “The voice of the media is being stopped and the media houses are being raided.” CBI raided NDTV chief’s house as he was raising his voice against the BJP government.

He also attacked the Shiv Sena to become a part of the BJP-led state government and adopt a “double standards” as well as to oppose it for its politics. He said, “Shiv Sena, who calls herself a lion, has become a lamb in the state government.”

Senior journalist and founder of NDTV and Executive Co-chairperson Pranay Roy was raided by the CBI on Monday. After which, many people were accusing BJP of shutting the mouth on the press.

On Friday, many senior journalists at the Press Club came together to perform in protest against the situation of emergency. They alleged that efforts are being made to shut down the media. NDTV founder Pranay Roy has demanded that the issues related to his channel be resolved in a time-bound manner.
